My goal is to understand how the nervous system drives hematopoietic/immune cell’s behaviors. To do so, I study a highly innervated hematopoietic and immune organ, the spleen.

Who are the splenic neurons? Where do they come from? What is their impact in hematopoiesis and immunity?

We hypothesize that particular patterns of neuronal activity in specific populations of neurons innervating the spleen will differentially and adaptively modulate the spleen hematopoietic and immune functions.
